I am very sad to announce the passing of our dear friend and founder member of the Nauti Buoys, Alister Harbord. His family and many friends will always remember his large stature, even larger personality and will continue to treasure the great times we all enjoyed together. I am pleased to tell you that the Nauti Buoys are continuing to perform as a trio comprising Mike 'the voice' Dyer, Steve 'fingers' George and myself, Richard 'lock up your granny' Carr. We have already played at the Falmouth and Teignmouth Shanty festival weekends and are now available for bookings by email to the band website, or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Please bear in mind that Alister was very accomplished at designing and running the website so I apologise in advance for any shortcomings I may have as the new administrator.

Our last recording: Lukey's Boat - a seasong from Newfoundland. Once again recorded by Doc at Plymouth Music Collective.

Here is our recording of 'Rolling Home to Caledonia'. Recorded at the Plymouth Music Collective Studios.

Below is our version of Archie Fisher's Final Trawl and in it you can hear the beautiful violin of Nauti Girl, Theresa Hinks.

The Nauti Buoys are a Dartmouth based shanty band who have been described as being four old fools trying not to grow up.

(More Bellowhead than Fisherman's Friends they combine traditional sea songs and humour with high energy performances probably quite dangerous in people of their age!)
